Playin' Well.
I place 7th in the PLO $5.50 tourney that takes place at 1045pm est. I have been playing this tourney on a regular basis. I love playing this game.
I had a lot of chips in this tourney at one point and never left the top five until the final table.

One thing that i notice in the game is Out of Positions raises. It got me to thinking that these raises have to be -EV. I believe that this game, is a highly post flop game, then it is pre-flop. These OOP raises are redonkolous. Its not as if these are No-limit tourneys, where you can put maxium pressure, w/ the "all-in" bet. Play OOP is -EV anyway, but it is need in certain situations. These situations seem to work better in a NLHE, then PLO. I can see why a lot of pros play this game.
On new years, I got myself into a 180 person SnG for $8.80. I loved the structure as it was slow and you could trap donkeys. I got really deep made the final table with a healthly stack, then all of a sudden.... sssstttttaaaatttttiiiiicccc! Yup, the static in my life, the slit w/ the ring, nagging that we have to go to her sisters for dinner. Good thing that it is 2 minutes away. By this time I'm 3rd out of 7th in chips. I figured.... ok no problem, call my future bro-in-law and have him download FullTilt and I can play from there.
Well, Jesus must of hated me for this and it took 20 minutes to download the software. By the time i got logged on i was out in 5th. This was probably my closes shot at my first MTT 100+ person win. Nope. Anyway, dinner was good and a 6pack later, all memory of the tourney was gone...
The new year is off to a good start. I'm acheiving most of my goals. Being aggressive, making smart decisions and 1/5 of my way to a 1k BR.

36 hour session.....no sleep.
This is for all the parents......
My son Dylan, was not feeling well. He had a nasty cough and was serverly congested. We have been running the humifieder and putting vicks vapor rub on his feet at night before he fell asleep.
My fiance was lucky enough to have the day off after x-mas and stayed home w/ him. So when I got, he sounded worst. We ended up calling the doctors office and explained the sympatons and were told to go to the ER. Ok, no big deal, go the ER, get some treatment/medicine and be on our way....NOPE.
Ok, its was 830pm, when we left for the hosiptal. I have been up already 13 1/2 hours and was not ready for an all nighter.....
The trip to Abington Hosiptal took about 25 minutes, so we arrived around 9pm. After regestration, we went straight to an ER room, where he was evaluated by a nurse. We spent about 1 1/2 in that room and then moved too another one. its now about 1130pm. where we waited again for about an hour until we saw a young resident. (Abington is a teaching hosiptal). Another evaluation by him and we waited another hour or so, until the chief ER doctor came in, said some words, gave his opinion and told us to be prepared for a long night. He order some tests, x-rays and a respirtory breathing treatment.
Time is now 1am.....
Nurse is now in, (which she was pretty hot and was the only thing that kept my eyes open) too get a sample of snot from his nose, for a test. After the extraction of the fluid, the nurse said, it shouldnt take to long for the result. Yeah right, "shouldnt take to long" took 2 hours, and its about about 3am.
The chief ER, comes back in and says its what he thought. It was "RSV". RSV is a serve chest cold. The doc said, it was probably the worst cold a young infant can have. He told us out of the 20 rooms in the ER 15 were young kids.
4am, the Peds doctor, came down and gave another evalution and said that we were going to be admitted, into the Peds Unit as soon as a bed opens. So the entire ER, was a secondary Peds Unit.
6am shift change.
Seen a couple of doctors, mainly the respirtory docs and nurses...
630am...
went in for X-ray. the doc showed us the junk in his chest. Nasty!
at this point my eyes are as heavy as Rosie O'Donnell. The only entertainment is the WSOP game on my cell and watching all the cops and paramedics walking through the ER.
7am
Thank god for the future mother-in-law. (maybe the only time i say that) As she is an employee at the hosiptal, Manager of admissions. She walked into the room w/ coffee and donuts. Yes! Third win has hit, but I know, it will be short lived..
730am
Officially awake for 24hrs....
Still no bed upstairs, for us to be admitted. More doctors, more breathing treatment.
11am
Drive home get shower, something eat and pickup some items.
1pm
Finally a bed opens up. See more doctors and more nurses and more treatment.
3pm
Hit the 500k mark on my cell phone playing 50-100. Boy do those digital pros suck!
4pm
More treatment and lunch/dinner
6pm
Shift change, new doctor and new nurses.... Was told in 2 hours that we would be able to go home.
730pm
Officially 36 hours. What is sleep? I hit up the Oxygen in the room. Ah refresh!
845pm
Check-out. Leaving the hosiptal.
10pm.
Baby is asleep.
1005

Amen, its over!
Dec 24-After my work day (half) it was time to go to my parents. My mom does the 7 fishes. A Italitian tradition that takes place around the holiday. If you havent had it, its a must. Many different things. Shrimp, scallops, flounders, fried dough, spinch pizza, smellzt, bocalla, calamri, and many, many things. After dinner, we opened gifts w/ my family and received a lot of good things. I dont remember what I got, I was still in a food coma. Top w/ all the wine, it was a nice night before christmas sleep.
Dec 25th- Morning of, we got up early and went to mass, with my in-laws, then open a ton of gifts, really a ton of gifts. My future mother-in-law goes nuts with gifts, but its great. tons of shirts, videos, sports memboriallia, house items and everyday needs items. Its way to much but grateful.
My in-laws primilirty celebrate on x-mas, where my parents celebrate on x-mas eve. The in-laws have a huge breakfast, with/ all of the fixings. Eggs, pancakes, every breakfast meat in the land, including a baking sheet of bacon a foot high, fruit salad, breakfast quiche, bagels, muffins, toast and mimosa's (more alochol). This is just a pre-game to what dinner holds. After breakfast, all the kids open more gifts and we all exchange the last of the gifts.
By noon its time to get going, as dinner starts at 4, with a trip up to Quakertown is not short. Dinner is at a future aunt and uncles house, that is on the farm, hores, pigs and chickens, the whole nine yards.
Well dinner is a big thing, and when i say big, I mean 10-course big. Its a 6+ hour food and wine coma again. Each course is served with a glass of wine, to which I dont know any of the names of. 10 courses, 10 glasses of wine= done!
All and all the holiday was great, expect for my 36 hour session. Next post.
