Lots of Work and No play

This has been my last month. All work and no play. I havent played much on the virtual table at all.

Once this holiday is over, I will be back in business. I have a full 10 days off begining the Thursday after Christmas. Once I figure out my expenses and finish holiday shopping I will replenish the account and work hard not to make a deposit for 2008. (yeah right).

Anyway, some good words for everyone in the freerolls. Good Luck in the BBT2 Freeroll for the sic Aussie Seat, that is taking place tonite on FullTilt right now and also in the BBT2 TBL Freeroll for the top 50 point earners. Which i missed by four spots. Damn it. I never win.

Also big ups to Al for putting up this sic package together for us degenrates. From what i read, the next BBT is in the spring. BBT3. Sweet.

Mookie Dookie

Dont work, while playing. My new lesson in my poker career (lack of). With the holiday, I'm super crazy busy, luckly w/ my job, I have the ability to work from home. Fawk!

Anyway this cause my lack of focus on the game and played uber christmas donkey in the mookie.

Here is the Hand.

Please I will only expect insults and ignorance. Lay it on thick, Please!

I did stay awake to play the Dookie. This week was "HA", which I love to play. I think its better fits my game and style. But here are my first 6 hands. Thanks RNG.

Is that possible, the combination of 4,9 and 5,7 in the first six hands. Ridiciolous!

Here are my plo hands. two are at the final table
The BR is taking a hit, especially w/ holiday shopping and some unseen events.
Not cashing, being completely card dead and not being lucky enough in this game is also contributing to the fact.
And oh yeah, I remember I dont win in this game. Never ever!
Miss the RPT event, so that my son, could get his mug shot w/ the jolly fat guy. Good times!

riverchasers

Made the final table in the RPT event, but bowed out in 9th place for a small cash. I dont have no screen shots, I keep forgetting to shoot them.

Extremely pleased with my play and made a lot of good reads and some preflop laydowns.

This event seems to be the only one that I do good in and makes me wonder....... why?

Theres one more week for BBT2 and that chance for the Aussie seat. Get after it.

Monday is Hoy MATH
Wednesday is the Mookie
Thrusday is Riverchasers
Sunday is MiamiDon Big Game

Wednesday, December 5, 2007

I really need to keep up with this....

Everytime I sign-on, I really want write but I just dont have enough time.... I had a deep finish in the RPT event... 11th. 2 spots away from the money. I had no clue how I chip up and got that deep.

I missed a couple events due to the baby not being asleep on time and completely being lazy. No energy or excitement to play.

Kinda had an idea of a mixed game blogger events that I sent to Riggstad and AlCantHang. It would be a 4 week rotation of games... example.

week1 PLO w/rebuys
week2 PLO 8
week3 Razz/HA/HOSE
week4 HORSE

Ranging in all different buy-ins. They both liked the idea and could be in the works for next year. The BBT2 has been hold'em hold'em hold'em. Time for a change.

Re-buy Stragety

Discuss...... leave a comment.

Personally, I hate them!

For a couple of reasons.
1. Not properly rolled for it.
2. No skill in the re-buy period.
3. Have to be lucky, within the re-buy period.

Some re-buy tourneys the break is within the first 30 mintues, but HOY's it was an hour.
Easily, could have dusted off a c-note in an hour.

This is my stragety for it, buy-in, addon, and then play without going broke and then addon at the break.

more later.

Flash.... its been a week.

Its been a week since I last was able to blog. After my Mookie exit, I was fired up to play the Riverchasers event the next. That totally went out the window when my son Dylan decided to have a tooth come in. Its in the weirdest part of his mouth, upper row off to the side. Which by other people say its in an unusual spot, but its the spike of his first tooth.

That was Thursday.

Friday, is me and my sons' day. While mom is working, we have father and son time. Later that night was spent w/ adults and friends w/ no baby, as my sister volunteered to sit.

Saturday.

First thing in the morning was the dogs' (Bo) bath day. Yes bath day, not birthday. It was a long time since he had a good grooming.

For a better part of saturday afternoon was spent cleaning the house. Booooo!
That night, when the baby slept, I tried to qualify for the 750k tourney on Sunday. That failed. and then I came to a conclusion that I have been pondering for a while and that is...... I cant win. I can win a single table SnG but a MTT tourney, Never ever ever win. The only time I came close was when PartyPoker was available to US customers, and I got heads up for a large MTT score. And guess what I came in second.

My 28k run a couple of weeks has been my only run to a large score on FullTilt since I moved to the site. Seriously, I cant win. I know theres major luck and suckouts and resucks to take one down, but isnt it time for me to win one. Just one big score, thats all i ask for.

Sunday.

I tried to win a 75$ token for MiamiDon big blogger game. Once again, I didnt win. And I didnt feel like buying into the event. So that is two straight BBT2 tournaments that I missed.

Monday.

When I got home from work. I played two 8.70$ SnGs for a 26$ and came up short in both but stilled managed to cash in 6th place for some cash. Again still didnt feel like buying in. 3rd straight BBT2 tournament missed.

Tuesday.

I got to play live (cash) for the first time since the summer. It was a nice little small mixed game of Hold'em and Omaha. This group of guys is the group that I normally played with on Monday and Wednesday nights tournaments, but a couple of us grew away from the game and it started to slow down. 2 were on the verge of marriage, one was buying and restoring a house, me with the new addition and couple of the young guys were going back to school. But I'm sure the game will re-new itself later.

Wednesday.

I played the mookie. I have a ton of screen shots.

Here starting to build my stack. small blind donkey tried to squeeze w/ 4,5 sooooooted.

Here I caught the same donkey with powerless K,Q off suit. Its no good throw it away

Here i had to make a decision. Lucky enough this was early in the tournament and I think I managed to get away from this hand, I really have to find the hand history to explain why I laid it down.
Again, building a stack. If you havent notice this screen shots are not in order. I really have to figure that one out.

Here is the great luck that I dont have, after I raised in the small blind and the big blind always has a hand when he AI over the top. At this point I was very frustrated and called being completly dominated.

That ened my Mookie run, where i was in the top 5 in chips for most of the night. I dont have a screen shot, but I played a hand right before the first break, where I was in the BB and a raiser behind me. I called and saw a flop of 4 5 6 all diamonds. I called w/ the 7,8 hearts. the raiser was a shorty and I put him all in and he/she called holding A,Q w/ the A of diamonds. of course the turn was the nut flush. And I dusted off 1/5 of my stack right before the first break.

Thursday.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! the RPT event was still on and I completely missed that one. The turkey sat in and I was out cold!.

Friday

I played a 18 person SnG, and battled to 2nd place. again, cant win!

This weekend I will try again to qualify for the big 750k tournament.

Good luck everyone!

Really, me winning a race...... quick someone check hell!

In the mookie now...

playing the mookie right now and it is boring me to death.... havent gotten shit.

played in Hoy MATH, on Monday, had to buy-in directly, which I dont like doing very much. I usually like to satelite my way through to bigger tournaments. But again, I played like two hands and went out on this hand History. GG.

I came close to sateliting my way into the 30k 6-max event that starts late on Tilt. The top 2 got seat and top five got paid. It was a re-buy satelite and I was able to make to the break w/o a rebuy. I ended up adding-on and played well. I busted in 5th w/ 55, i floped a huge draw, the board coming 2 3 4 rainbow, the button had KK. He raised pre I called in the small blind. When I floped my big draw, I jaw the flop and he insta-called and I bricked out.

Early on in the tourney I got berated by some donkey pushing w/ J high and I caught him bluffing, with my 99's. My view on people talking shit online please go to AlCantHang post on fighting on the internet, the picture says it all.

I have screen shot of my stats for the mookie tonite... no joke.

Friday, November 9, 2007

Out in 9th on a suckout....

Blah! I guess the best hand won.

I did get my AA cracked by 55 right before the final table to a guy who pushed UTG and spike a 5 on the river. I win that hand and I own this game.

Here is the final board! It was a nice pay day.

Special thanks to Riggstad, lucko, millerd33, MiamiDon, KillinKegz and everyone else who railed the final couple of hours.

Horse bet and Food

I'm currently 4 out of 92 in the 28K, and was wondering what is your snack of choice?

I'm eating Cracker Barrel and crackers. MmmM Good.

I also came in 2nd place for the horse bet by lucko21 . Nice. Thank you to my horses Hoy, Snakster, TripJax and gsw61515.

Hopefully I'm rich in the morning. Chip total is 115000 give or take a few. <---- (never had this many chips before ever!)

My first pro i ever played with

The first time people actually found the fold button and click it! (Not, sure if this is a first)

I finally played well in these death/mine/bear traps that is of BBT2 tournament. I actually got a lot of good cards and played extremely well. My flips actually won and held. I didnt suck out and no one suck out on me.

I hate this game

I hate coin flips. I hate this game. I was running good at one table and then get switched and not one person can lay down a fuckin hand especially a middle fuckin pair. The hardest two cards to play 4's through 9's.

I hate this game.

One and done...

Played the Mookie, played one hand (two black A,A) and was cracked by no other then the name itself. cracknaces. Hand

I will post the hand history when I get home.

So one hand and I was bounced early.

I was planning on playing the Dookie and Spookie, but all the sugar from all the candy that wasnt handed out, was on the downfall and I ended up passing out. I really, really want to win one of these things. I just want the opportunity to play for the Aussie Seat.

I also played on M.A.T.H, for one of my few tokens, made it deep, lost a race, when UTG, went all in w/ 99 and I in the big blind w/ AQ and couldnt spike an over. Hand

Also on FullTilt i had a winning saturday. <----- This doesnt happen to me much on the weekend. I played 3 SnGs, and actually had a profit for the day.

We be playing Riverchasers tonite. I will try to play 2 hands tonite.

Mookie and Riverchaser

In my last post, I previous stated that I would "open" up my game a little and start to gambol. Overall I was pleased with my start and play. I enter alot of pots raising and when check too I put money in the pot. I stole the BB from my small blind and used a couple of check raises. I controled the pot when I was in poistions and played aggressive when in position.

I made through the first two breaks and then went out 10 minutes into the third hour. On this hand. Dont people know how awful KQ is to play out of position and then call a huge raise with and with 2 other people behind you to act. This person then proceed to donk off their chips about 10 spots in front of where i went out.

What else about this hand that I hate is the great FullTilt RNG. The one thing I hate about poker the river flush. I hate when it goes runner runner, or even runner, runner, runner for the win. It sucks.

Tonite is the 4th event of BBT2 and its the Riverchasers $10 + $1 No-limit hold'em.

Again, I will be also listening to BuddyDankRadio. tune in, its great internet radio.

also i'm AIM: corron10

BBT2 is in full swing!

Tonite is the 3rd event for the BBT2. I was not able to play in the first one, MiamiDon's Big Game for $75. I had the pleasure to be caught in a Wii Tiger Woods tournament. The Wii is fuc'in awesome. It has to be the best game console to date. I just wish i had more time to practice.

We played a 4-man skins match and played for $5 bucks a hole. I ended up plus $15 bucks. It was a great time.

My first event was Hoy's MATH event and boy did I feel like I didnt belong on the table. I felt my draw was very calm and assertive. By assertive I mean nothing crazy, very ABC poker. Then this guy showed up with a very healthy stack and I completely shit myself. I raise he reraise, I put money in the pot, he put more money in the pot. I was just outplayed and i completely lost myself and frustrated myself on an avatar. Thats all this guy was a digital enhanced picture.
I dont know him personally but I have read his blog. He has very impressive stats and wins. His posts are smart and logical but I only have one question and that is how do these guys do it? I mean how do they put up serious wins and stats? Hoy, cracknaces, and lucko21 all have very impressive wins. I'm still looking for a serious win or event satelite seat to a big event for even a shot at big time money.

My style is my style, its tight and its aggressive. I dont like putting my money in bad or even when i think i'm even behind, even by the slightest margin. So I have decided its time to open it up a little. Who cares if i'm out early, who cares if i put my money in when i behind a little. I'm will be making reads and going with them. for better or worse. I will not go down being blinded out.

the new style of poker starts tonite. I'm in the Mookie now. I will post my performance tomorrow.

This past week...

Lets start off from last Saturday.

Last Saturday, was one of my best friends wedding. Which happen to take place in Elmira, New York. I had all intentions of driving up Friday and parting w/ all of my friends but plans changed and we drove up early Saturday morning. It was about a 4 and 1/2 hr trip up, w/ one stop for the baby. For me, I'm just like my dad w/ the same mentality for road trips and that is the less stops the better. Now this is the first time that I had to travel a long distance w/ my son, so we had no idea of what his intentions were for the trip, if he would sleep or be awake. Me and his mother have been very bless. He has to be the best baby in the world. No lie! He does not cry, (expect for hungry and wetness), he sleeps very well, he eats like a champ, and is very peaceful in all enviroments. For the past two weeks, he has been sleeping in his crib and each nite he sleeps through the night. Meaning that we put him down around 930/10 and doesnt wake up until 630/700 oclock in the morning. There has been a couple of times where we had to check him to see if he is alive and a couple times were we had to wake him up, just to get ready for daycare. We are extremely lucky. This parenthood stuff is way to easy.

So the wedding was extremely short and nice. but it was also 20 minutes away from the reception, so it took longer to drive to the reception then did the ceremony itself. The good thing about the reception was that it was in the same place where we were staying. The food was good, not great but who really cared about the food, I wanted a drink! Open bar meant, Absolute and tonic. Its my wedding drink for some reason. With the baby w/ my parents for the night, who were also invited, me and fiance were let loose for the first time since Dylan was born. It was such a great nite. My friends are all good drinkers and we party all night long.

Poker related.
Sunday was the PokerStars blogger tournament. Unforutnly, I was still hungover from the wedding the nite before, I didnt have the chance to enter. Oh well!

there were a couple of nites in a row, where i swear everyone had it out for me. bad beat after another.

also in those nites, I found myself playing the PLO MTT tourney that is $5.50. It gets about 200 or so people and its a nice change of pace. Out of the 2 nites, I made it deep in both but no luck cashing.

Wednesday nite was the Mookie . But was that a struggle. Counldnt get anything going at all. I couldnt past 3700 in chips.

Last nite, was Riverchasers event and placed 6th for a $28 score. One of these days I will win either the Mookie or the Riverchasers event. Congrats to the RPT CEO Riggstad for 3rd and Hold_me333 who i believe is Steph? RPT employee for the final table. If I'm missing someone from the RPT group sorry.

Also, I played in the $26 and $75 Token Frenzies on FullTilt and score a token for each. Each will be used for Hoy and MiamiDon tourneys for the Sunday and Monday. Sunday MiamiDon game is the start of Battle of the Blogger Tourmanets 2 sponsored by Full Tilt Poker (link is from Alcanthang)

See you there!

Iron Man Challenge

I have entered myself in the FullTilt IronMan Challenge. My plan is just trying to play at least one game per day. With this in mind I will be play mainly turbo SnG's from the $6.50 up to the $12 ones.

I know a lot of people like to use SharkScope. On my free time at work roam around some of my stats and boy do they suck. I havent fully use the site for it full capabilities but I am looking for people who use it on a daily or weekly basis, to see if it helps their game.

For those religious folks. My son is fully rid of sin, well for now. Sunday he was baptized and he received a nice family party. He is offically has more money then me. Monday was also the first day that he was in the care of complete stranger, as it was his first day of daycare. Mom was not about this.

1. being away from her son, for the first time all day.
2. going back to work.

Some of my poker observations.
In the beginning I said I entered myself in the IronMan Challenge. Ever since, the four 3's in every virutal deck has followed me and haunted me in all my games.

Also, I hate runner, runner, runner flushes. You people suck!

Anyone know what is the best way to get into the FTOPS? Want to try my hand at large dollars!

Also, booked a place for the wedding. BlueBellCountryClub. Good thing I'aint payin for it! Thanks in-laws.

Bodog

Been playing a little bit on Bodog. Still dont like it as much as FullTilt, but I think its better then PokerStars. I said in a previous post that I used Bodog for sports betting, which hasnt been nice to me in the last two weeks going 1-5. But I started to play SnGs and ran up the BR a little.

Tonite was the first night in a while that i missed the Mookie due to some future plans, like looking for a place for the wedding. Yuck! I hate that I have to be involved. I did my part, the second most expensive part, the engagement ring. Again Yuck! At least she doesnt want to get married in a church. though we are both Catholic, it doesnt matter to the both of us about being married in church.

Also this week is going to be busy, my son will be baptized on Sunday, and the following weekend, my boy from home is getting married in New York. It will be a little crazy for the next couple of weeks.

Althought, they lost today and the top 4 batters went 0-15 and the top 6 went 2-23, the Phillies are the NL East Champions.

GO PHILS!

Another Quick Mookie

Awful play by Julius Goat in the mookie tonite. Awful. HandHistory

The new nuts is A4 offsuit. Its awesome.

Before tonite, I want 3-3 in SnGs over a four day span.

I played a heads up PLO game. done it 5 minutes, it was awesome. Pot, re-raise pot, re-re-raise pot. He was crazy.

I played a turbo $12 full ring game, that had me the chip through out the entire game. it was Cake.

Then last nite played a turbo $6.50 full ring game. This went back and forth. I made a full house on the last hand to take it down.

Sports betting again was shaky this past weekend. Had Oklahoma on thursday, that was easy money.

Nebraksa messing up at home, loss.

West Virigina, again easy money.

and then Sunday NFL. Eagles.....nice and then lost a parlay bet. Argh!

bankroll slowing growing.

$22, 5 hands 2 tournaments = DONKEY!

Not complete donkey but pretty damn close. the Mookie the other nite i lost a race to the "CEO" Riggstad , w/ my QQ's to his AK, he turned a Ace................ gg North Korea

Tonite in the Riverchasers event. I started off on the button to begin the tournament, fold every hand until my small blind and pick up AK suited. UTG Katitude , made a pot size raise. I then re-raise her and she flat called. At this point i was a little worried. I was hoping she had sqadosh. Nope! Flop comes rag, I bet, figured I didnt want to lose the betting advantage, she calls, turn, rag, I bet, she raises AI, over the top. I was close to laying it down, which i should have in the first place. but something did feel right and I ended up donking my chips really really bad.

For some reason I thought i was being bullied around or bluff. But it was me falling in a nasty, nasty trap. GG Russia.

As for saturday night, for my boys bachelor party, we finally made it down to AC. First off its much better to drive down yourself then take any other kind of transportation. His best man did an awesome job of setting everything with the food, beer and transportation. We were to be picked up at 8pm, and I told everyone to meet at my house for a little pregame action. So people to started filing in around 630pm to watch some NCAA football and drink a little.

So the bus got there at 730 and we were waiting on some more people, so when we wait, we do shots. Shots of Jack around the house. Its now 8pm and we start to file on the bus, and its a cheese wagon! With NO BATHROOM! 17 guys, all a little tipsy, w/ a keg on board, meant we were peeing in cups and throwing them out onto the AC expressway. Thank god for Farleys pit stop, as I felt my kidneys float into the back of my mouth. It never felt so good to pee in a sink.

We all then decided to go to the Tropicana to start out, because it meet everyones need to drink, gamble and mack on some fine tail. God the ladies were all doll up. So, I decided that I want to play cards and off to the poker room i went.

I bought in short, which i never do, only because i had no idea of when the party would up and leave. So with that in mine, I played tight. after a couple of orbits, I picked AJ and built my stack to $90. couple hands later I raised w/ KJ of clubs and got 5 callers. Yes 5. Flop all diamonds and threw it away.

So another orbit or two, the button raises it up to $20, and I look down to QQ. So I push. its just about 55 total. he turns to me says "Queens right?" and I said "yes two black ones" and he goes "well I guess I have to call w/ my two black kings". So KK vs QQ, no two-outer and I left the room.

Normally this is not my game plan for a cash game in AC but I had all my boys and it was from there, time to get fucked up!

Sat and Bachelor Party

My boy from growing up is getting married in October and the B-party is tomorrow nite and we are heading down AC. Hopefully I wont be to f'ed up so that I can play some live cash or SnG. Dont know what casino we are heading too but who knows if I'll even remember.

Also wanted to get my picks need as I lost a tease, on Thursday, as I teased West Virgina and TCU together. WVA covered but TCU went into OT and missed a FG as Air Force made theres. Theres not many games that I like in NCAA and will probably pick my NFL games. But for NCAA I like Alabama and Louisville and Cincinati all as the favors. Then again I might take a week off from NCAA and focus on NFL.

Hopefully richer by Sunday

2nd place Mookie

Its been a while since i wrote, as the baby has consumed my free time. That damn kid! Just kidding I love him more then life itself.

Before last nite i had been playing 6-max NLHE and PLO SnGs. Through Pokerstars, Bodog and Full Tilt.

I always like playing different sites as I if feel it keeps me fresh and clear of my poker playing. Any poker player would have to say that each site has a different feel of the poker that is being played.

On pokerstars i played mainly PLO winning some low limit SnGs. Ranging from $2 to $6. I feel that pokerstars playing uber tight, can get you deep and cash. Slow playing and trapping often work into drag large pots.

Bodog, I mainly use for my sportsbetting on football for NCAA and NFL. but also like to play NLHE SnGs. Again low limit from $5 up to $10, if i run well. I will get back to my sports betting day.

Full Tilt. My main playing site, I love Full Tilt, i sport the hat, which surprisingly fits my large dome really well and I pimp the polo and t-shirt, on my lazy Saturdays and when i go play live, at Riverchasers.
In the past couple of weeks i have been running super cold. I believe it was Monday nite I donk off 5 buy-ins in the 6-max turbo SnG. I was so donkist.. playing ultra LAGer..... it was awful.

It was in the Mookie that things turn around. I actually came into the tournament confident and relax, two feelings that never seemed to come together while playing in a tournament. My first hand came against AlCantHang (HandHistory). Al, said in the chat that I was picking on his blind, it just so happen, that everytime its was his BB, I actually had a hand. I promise i didnt have junk. I dont play junk. Swear!

He is another hand that added some chips to the stack (HandHistory)

Another hand that I accumlated chips on was (HandHistory)

One hand that I had to sweat was against Hoy (HandHistory) there was also a second hand that i had to sweat (HandHistory)

Then other hand adding to the stack against IslandBum1 (HandHistory)

With this hand I felt comfortable enought that I would make the final table w/ no problem.

After this the second against Hoy I cruised to my 2nd place.

Also, last Saturday I went 3-3 in NCAA and 0-1 in NFL (parlay). Not happy betting day. I will get it back.

My Omaha Session Beat and Brag

beat

brag

Omaha and a money finish.

Played a Omaha game on Monday night, after filling my gut, with what i like to call the 4 meat groups.

Steak

Chicken

Beef

and Pig.

Had good o' BBQ on labor, after I was done work. Yeah, that right work. Cant complain, it was OT on holiday time. I really dont mind working on holidays that arent really holidays, like Labor Day, or Memorial Day, you know those non-important family orienated days, where you need to be w/ family and friends.

Anyway, when I get back to my home computer, I will post HH of the Omaha game, w/ a sweet situation that i got my self into.

Also played in a $10+1 NLHE, on FTP, and placed in the money, I was really pleased with that, as it has been a while. Also tournament pimpage for the Riverchasers game on Thursday

Ahhh, Football Season

Love, Love, Love football season. Went 7 for 7 in college football yesterday. Cha-Ching!!!!
My picks
West Virigina
Penn St.
Olakahoma
Gerogia
UCLA
Michigan State
TCU

The first couple of weeks for college is always nice.

Also, I'm thinking about the Florida State vs. Clemson game and taking FSU. at -3.5.

On the poker front, played a couple of satelite rebuy tournements to get into a Saturday night tournament and the Sunday tournament and failed horribly. So much to sticking to PLO.

I really need a score.

Later.

A good movie....

Finally a night with no visitors. Also made a nice easy dinner and took a walk for the first time as family. So after that was said and done, it was time to relax with a movie. Now I love watching TV from my home including movies. I havent gone to the movie theater since my 2nd date ever and that was in the 6th grade. Movie tickets and accessories cost a fortunte these days, and these are a couple reasons why I stay home and thats why i love Comcast OnDemand.

The flick for tonight was 'Shooter", starting Mark Walhberg. Mark also was in "Boogie Nights", "The Departed", "Invincable" "Four Brothers" and is Executive Producer of the greastest show on TV "Entourage"

the storyline was Mark as a retired Sharp Shooter, that was recruited by a government agency, that wanted him to plan an attempt of an assination of the president. The majority of the movie was taped in Philadelphia and this was the city of the attempt of the execution.

Well this planned assination was a trap to set up Mark, as the assisan. To make a long story short, Mark goes on sick killing spree to the end, to prove himself that he is innocent. Well I dont want to give to much away but its a must see. Mark, in my opinion has not done a bad movie in a long time. He is definatly a bad ass actor and he chooses scripts that really suit him.

On the poker side of things, I got to play a quick SnG on Filt, a PLO 6-max game and place 1st. Yeah first. its been so long that I actually won a table or game that it almost made me quit poker. Sike!

I think that I'm going to just play PLO for a period of time as the game doesnt bore me like NLHE.

Also, considering that I havent been doing this for a long time.... you know blogging. I have a couple of question

1. How do you put links in the blog?
2. Screenshots?
3. How do you put banners and logos on the blog?

post comments and let me know.
thanks.

ehhhh

My weekend starts Thursday, due to my work schedule, being off Fridays and Saturdays, so its my shift to stay up w/ the baby, while mom gets some sleep, usually the baby is asleep, so I get to play poker late nite. Thank god, Internet Poker, what would I do without it.

So thrusday, i played for a while, got deep in a $10+1 MTT, but didnt cash, disappointed, but no big deal.

Notice a lot of people limping UTG w/ KK and AA, really weird, but they would catch 3 people in the hand and get paid off, while the others had underpairs, 10's and JJ.

Also played in one of those PAD freerolls that popup in the tournaments tab. Its usually a time killer for me and what I think is a learning tool, for hand situations that come about in live or real money tournamets. I got all the way to the final table and finished 5th. Lost the hand pair vs pair. My 99 vs JJ. Oh well

Saturday was a hot day, I would only know by playing golf. I love to play golf, especially with people who dont take it to seriously. I'm not the best golfer in the world, but I can hang. My iron game needs work and my putting game was a little off. But it was off the tee that helped me, I hit a lot of fairways.

I ended up winning the round of golf w/ a 92, at Lederach Golf Club, Harleysville. Nice course.

Its been a month

Yeah, so its about a month since the last time I wrote. A lot has happen, a lot. My fiance and I had our baby boy on Aug 3rd, so its been crazy. We named him James Dylan and we will calling by his middle name, just like his dad. The first name is link to me and my dad, his grandfather. My dad goes by his first name, i go by my middle, and my son will be the same.

So since he has been born, i have seen more people and more gifts for the baby, that I could open up a coffee house and clothing store in my house. I love that everyone loves him but when will the constant flow of people stop???

My poker playing has been limited for the last month, but I was able to play a little here and there, especially one table SnGs. I havent had the time to play a big tourney but was able to play for a seat into the FTOPS Main Event, unfortanuly I missed the cut.

I have to find time to play and its seems like Thrusday nights and Fridays, when I'm home will be the best time to play. What I really want to do is play live, either a freeroll or a home game.

Riverchasers Event # 2

Finally a decent result. I played expectionally well last nite. 47 playes showed up for a $10+1 private tourney on Full Tilt last nite. I finished 4 for a whopping $52 payout. last nite i was really focused. Not like other time where i was already seeing a bad beat happening agaisnt me, verus some donkey. Every raise, people layed down and every over the top moved that I did, they layed down. I was all in and called twice all night. Twice! With that kind of stat, I should of won the thing. I was chip leader when we 4 handed but only by a little, I did make a mistake when we were 4-handed, I tried a check raised on a J,8,4 w/ two diamonds high board w/ A9 of hearts, and the opponent came over the top for the rest of his chips and was forced to lay it down. It was moved by me to see if he would lay down like a pair, but it didnt work and was back to playin my TAG style. I played every hand well last nite, I know I missed some bets and hands when I was in position but I was more then satisify w/ the outcome.

On the car search, I finally purchased one and went with the Hyundia Santa Fe, 3.3 V-6 AWD model. Its was the best deal out of all the cars that I saw. It had the bigger engine, better warranty, 60 month deal, and finance rate. Plus, I got the price that I want. Haggling is fun, especially with car salemans. I want a deal and they want to sell

Building a bankroll.

I need a new car!

I need a new car and soon! In less then a month, me and my fiance will be having our first son and my transportation does not fit the nature of is to come.

What i have now is a 2004 Toyota Tacoma with an extended cab. the cab does not fit a car seat properly so i need a 4 door car. Cars that I have been looking at are the Honda CR-V, the Toyota Rava-4, the Jeep Compass and the Saturn Vue.

I have been looking in this class for awhile and every dealership is giving me this out rageous payment. well over what i can afford. just crazy prices. they give crazy finance charges and dont give me what my truck is really worth. Its really insane.

So, if anyone nows someone that can give me a good deal, let me know. I need to act fast.

First losing session in a long while..

I had my first losing session in a long while. between tournaments and sitting in a cash game... I lost about $50 bucks of my roll. You migh say wow $50 bucks, no big deal, but I dont have a huge roll that I keep online, my roll offline is a lot different. Online i usually play turbo SnGs, and low limit cash from .15/.30 cent up to .25/.50 games, i also play low limit MTTs and satelites to bigger tournaments.

This how i started out my day,
Game 1. played a $6.50 turbo SnG 9-handed, first hand AK vs QQ. See ya, lost that race.

Game 2. played another $6.50 turbo SnG third hand JJ vs 88, flop an 8. Out flopped. See ya.

Game 3. drop down to $2.25 6-man SnG, missed the money. The hand before I went crippled me, SB vs BB, AJ vs A10, yup lost that one, but well played by the SB.

Game 4. played a $6.50 6-man, 2nd hand 10's vs QQ's again out flopped, See ya.

Total lost in 4 games about $23.

Then I saw a PLO $5.50 games. almosted cashed by 10 spots. Still no profit. After this. I decided to go to bed and cut my losses for the nite. but thats what i thought, I had the hard time trying to sleep. So, I ended up play a full ring .25/.50 cent game, where i lost my buy-in. I was really pissed, cuz i was up half a buy-in, and was pleased that I wasnt really stuck as bad from the beginning.

Money Management 101. Be happy stuck a little then a lot.

I will work hard to get back.

A shootout freeroll.

Just got back from a Riverchasers event at a new venue. It was a special event a Shoot-out tourney. For those that dont know, Riverchasers is a company that host free poker games within bars and resturants and establishments. They are in southeast Pa, with games in N.J, N.Y, and Boston. A majority of game in the suburs of the Philly area. They do great things with the game and giveaway great prizes, all ranging from a WSOP ME seat, satelites into AC tournaments and lots of free stuff.

As far as the shoot-out, my table started w/ 9 players as the rest of the field started w/ 8 players. I recognize some people at my table but i dont really know anyone by name. We started off double stack (200 chips) from a normal tourney. I picked a lot of small pots from early position raisers and built my stack up to 300.

There was some really bad plays by people and I was waiting to pounce on their mistakes, one problem was that i had the chip leader on my left, so everytime that i raised he either came in or raise. When we got to 4-handed play I was trying to be ultra-aggressive, because of theses reasons

1. when I was UTG, the SB and BB were very weak and easy to read women players.

2. I was trying to gain some chips to be a force w/ the chip leader to get to heads up play.

Thats until, I ran into this hand.. blinds are 10-20, I'm UTG, I raise to 60, button and sb fold, BB calls,

BB history, eldery women, always comes in w/ A high no matter, and has been over betting the pot w/ a paint flop and just weak in general.

So, we see a flop of A, 3, 9 rainbow, she is first to act and over bets the pot, I sit and think, does she really have a better Ace then I do, (I have A,10suited in hearts) so I push all in and she calls i have covered by 100 or so. She flips A,9 and again, I'm out flop by a weak player. turn and river brick out. This is my typical live sessions of late.

Next hand, I'm BB, chip leader puts enough in for me to be all in. I call w/ Q,J and he has 10's . Flop nothing, turn nothing, and river nothing.

Game, set, match.

1st game of the Riverchasers 2nd half online tour....

Or what i like to call it bad beat station...

I was cruising along and just took the worst beats and suckouts ever.

QQ vs 9's turned a 9

KJ vs AJ in the blinds flop a J, then i turned a diamond draw, and river is the K, for the sb two pair.

the i went short, UTG i pick 10's and get that lovely call of K,Q off suit, from a player... love that call.

Live Home Omaha Cash Game...

Had a home tourney game that i usually play in on Monday nights, its basically a $50 SnG, a starting stack of 5k and 20 minute blind levels. 11 of us played and top 3 got paid, w/ third getting there money back, so in typical fashion, i rolled into 3rd. I played "ok" nothing exciting, small pots, no bluffs, ABC poker.

The night really began when i played the PLO cash game. .25/.50 game 4-handed and we all roughly bought in for $25 to $30. I bought-in for $28 bucks. I played really well, i flopped a lot of sets and double draws, that got there. PLO is so much fun to play and there is a lot more post flop play which i like.

One interesting hand where i stacked a player was.... I was in the SB and Button made a pot sized raise which was $1.50. I decided to call with (7h,7d,Ks,Ah) not double suited but i we were 4 handed and saw the flop of 8,7,8, I forget the suites but i remember no heart flush draw, I check in the SB, know that the button would bet for me, which he did. I immediatley say "pot" putting close to call in and he thought for a minute and called show trip 8's with the turn and river to improve. He had a bunch of outs to and lucky enough i dodge all of them to take down the pot.

After that we played 3-handed for about 45 minutes were i picked up alot of nice size pots to double my buyin and was much pleased w/ that. Lately i have been doing that whether its online or live, just doubling my buyin and walking a way happy.

I just wish my friends would play more cash then tourneys. If i had a choice, it would definatly be a cash game.

A little cash.....

I kinda have a weird work schedule... w/ my new job I have a Sunday thru Thursday work schedule and off Friday and Saturday.
I got home, had dinner w/ the fianace and the dog, and my unborn son... Due in August.

after dinner, decided to see some of the action that was taking place on Full Tilt and read up on the live updates of Day 3 of the Main Event.

I played about for an hour and a half and double my buyin of $25 to $50. I was playing .25/.50 nlhm 9 handed. I usually bounce back and forth between 6-handed to 9-handed and usually just one table, as I dont like mutil-tabling games for a couple of reason,

1. Not comfortable playing multiple tables
2. Not Bankrolled enough to my liking

Couple of key hands

AA vs 10's, I had the bullets and a short stack moved and I instant called, and held up.

A SB vs BB, of KJ offsuit, vs a 10J offsuit, w/ J's hitting the flop. Didnt get the max, but a "small ball play" by the big blind, to call a medium size river bet.

But it was a good session play for the time spent and then it was off to watch, my Sunday show of Entourage on HBO. Great show tonight, probably the funniest show this season.

PLO $3.30 on Full Tilt

Place in the PLO tourney on Tilt yesterday (7/6/07) 3rd place, and winnings of $42 bucks on $3 isnt bad, I dont play a lot of Omaha, but I like to mix it up a little. NLHM gets a little boring after awhile.

It was a small field of about 115 people or so and it went quick until the money bubble. Was in top five in chips the whole time and never looked back, i could never quite grab a chip, but was never in danger of losing chips. I hade a lot of good hands and double draws and got paid on a lot of them.

I will post hands later.
